    you first Mr. President
"I'm automatically attracted to beautiful women — I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait. When you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab 'em by the pussy. You can do anything."

[On women] "You have to treat 'em like shit." (New York magazine, Nov. 9, 1992)

I knew it was always on the table, but seeing Democrats go through the checklist:

[x] she's probably emotionally misunderstanding what happened
    [x] it wasn't *that* bad
[x] sure it's bad but we can't risk losing his vote in the Senate
    [x] she's probably a lying bitch
[x] Boys will be boys, it was a joke
[x] Sure, it was wrong, but let's consider punishments that don't involve him losing any power or anything of value to himself

    is fucking demoralizing.

    We've gone from #MeToo to #YourPoliticalPartyIsWorse.

I get the sense that some people think a scoreboard is involved or that each case is judged by varying criteria.

"I'm outraged about the outrage! Where does it end? It happened a long time ago. Why now? You're Going to the NEXT ROUND BABY!"

Why are people surprised when humans (not Dems or GOPers) --- but HUMANS --- resort to human defense mechanisms to help them cope with inconvenient information?

We keep acting as though these groups are . . . different. They're only different in stupid, petty political stuff that they can use to separate themselves as "better" than the other.

And the Governor (who would appoint a successor) is a Democrat.

Imagine the reaction if the governor was a Republican. (Or, just look how few people have called for the Senator from New Jersey to step down.)
