I’m not interested in playing “Baron’s got a ‘Gotcha!’” today.

 

Why is this the least surprising thing I've seen so far today?

It's easier for Representatives to do this than Senators. There are 435 of them, and it's quite possible her interactions with Conyers have been few. There are 100 Senators, and they serve six-year terms. They know a lot about each other because they're in closer proximity and that makes it harder to publicly call each other out for misbehavior.

 

You know how when your kids misbehave, you can make them laugh and realize how silly they're being by mimicking their behavior?

"Look at how silly I look having a fit! Do you really want to look like this?"

Maybe Trump will have that effect on people's online behavior.

"Look how silly the President looks! Do you want to look like that, too?"

 

Karen Tumulty of the Washington Post: "I'm old enough to remember that when you got junk mail from a congressman, it came under the franking privilege."

I know this is literally yesterday's news and seems like a year ago (in thread years), but if you are a turkey and you hear that Donald Trump is going to pardon you (believe me - nobody pardons turkeys like me - I'm the BEST!) but your name is either Drumstick or Wishbone - don't you want to get it in writing?
