Absolutely would if it were the best chance of stopping Moore. But it isn't. One because write-ins are always at a disadvantage over people actually on the ballot. Two, because the people they'd have to be allying with are untrustworthy and there's no recourse if they reneg.

But you have the wrong test case. Jones seems more likely to win than Busby. The question in this case is, will Republicans vote Jones over Busby to keep Moore out. I would think they should.

ADULT: Being cold to people who tried desperately to love him. (His children.)

    That's garbage.

Ok. And, if we had an absolutist on the 2nd amendment running, would Inky object to him being referred to as far right?
Fuck, the media referred to nearly every republican as far right.

So Trump is very, very concerned with Warren lying about her background.

Surprising no one, he and his family lied for decades and said they were of Swedish origin because of concerns about stigma from being German.

    The hypocrisy is always intentional.

Jones is only more likely to win because Busby just got in the race.

In his last election, Sessions received over 90%of the vote, facing only a token write-in candidate. The previous election, he received 63%.

There are a lot more republicans than democrats in Alabama.

But, if republicans merely split their vote between Moore and Busby, Jones will win, which means republicans won’t split their vote.

But, if the leadership in both parties came together, and encouraged voters of both parties to vote for Busby, he could win.

You’d need voters of both parties to be willing to split their vote. If that happens, Busby wins. But it would take a concerted bi-partisan effort.

Without it, I think Moore will win.

    Nope, that's incorrect.

Jones gave a stupid answer to Chuck Todd. He should have been better prepared:

"Jones said he's a "firm believer that a woman should have to freedom to choose what happens to her own body" and that he opposed a ban on abortions after the 20th week of gestation, which is a bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives and now under consideration in the Senate."

First of all, under existing Alabama law, abortion is legal up to 22 weeks. Start there.

This is a more recent and better thought out answer.

"During a wide-ranging interview on Tuesday, Jones - who faces Republican Roy Moore in the Senate election -- was asked by AL.com about his position on abortion.

"Those comments, everybody wants to attack you so they are going to make out on those comments what they want to their political advantage," Jones said. "To be clear, I fully support a woman's freedom to choose to what happens to her own body. That is an intensely, intensely personal decision that only she, in consultation with her god, her doctor, her partner or family, that's her choice.

"Having said that, the law for decades has been that late-term procedures are generally restricted except in the case of medical necessity. That's what I support. I don't see any changes in that. It is a personal decision."

A Woman's Right to Choose is a bedrock Democratic plank. He's a Democratic politician. You expected different?

No restrictions at all? I find it very difficult to believe that you'll find many people who support that.

It is not the Democrats' responsibility to bail out the Republicans if they nominate a shitty candidate, YF.

Just don’t go and call Trump Olaf —or Drumpf —that would be racist.

What if the leaders of both parties encouraged voters to vote Jones?

It's probably racist to call Jr. Fredo, too, but it fits.
