What’s the original crime Michael? Cooperation with a foreign power sounds ominous. What did they do that was criminal, and what statute was violated?

Trump flew to Mexico to meet with the Mexican President during the campaign. There was nothing criminal about that, because it’s perfectly legal to meet with foreign powers, and to discuss how the relationship between the two nations might be different under a new administration.

Trump won’t be, and likely can’t be, charged with obstruction of justice. At best, Congress would have to act, and impeach him. That also won’t happen.

If Sessions, or anyone else, perjured themselves, that would be dumb, but wouldn’t be indicative of an underlying crime.

 

You may not have seen the evidence, but there has to be some crime that is being investigated.

What’s the crime? What’s the potential crime?

Flynn likely lied about a conversation the FBI had on tape. That’s dumb. Going to trial doesn’t make a lot of sense. But there’s nothing to suggest he has info on Trump, or anyone else.

Flynn was clearly trying to monetize his experience in the intelligence community, and his relationship with Trump. That doesn’t point to anyone else’s criminal behavior.

Early reports are that Flynn pleaded guilty about lying about his contacts with Russia, specifically his contacts with the Russian ambassador. We already knew that Flynn had lied about that meeting, claiming he didn't discuss sanctions when, in fact, he did. And as others have noted, if he was willing to plead guilty, it's almost certainly because he feared they had to goods to convict him on more serious charges.

Flynn was a key member of the Trump campaign, and then was (briefly) the National Security Advisor. (Which is a whole other story.)

How is that not, already, "evidence of any illegal contact between the Trump campaign and Russia"? Are you saying Flynn wasn't part of the Trump campaign? Or that pleading guilty about lying about your contact with Russia has nothing to do with whether that contact with Russia was illegal? Maybe you'd like to split that hair. Have at it, hoss.

And this is only maybe the third inning.

 

I don’t know what else Mueller has. And neither do you. But golly, you just want this to be done right now!!

No chance. This is going to be a long process. And Flynn is just one of MANY who have lied about Russian contacts.

Why do you think they’ve done that?

I honestly don't believe you're this naive. If you are, you need to summon @Dick Whitman to explain to you why a prosecutor would agree to a plea deal that - in your mind - seemingly wraps up this investigation and goes no higher.

My posts are addressing something on topic on this thread. Whether that lying coward actually has me on ignore or not is irrelevant. It certainly hasn't stopped YF the hypocrite from posting about me.

 

Literally zero people on this board care about anything you have to say to or about him.
