Right you are. Interesting. I initially searched only for black or African American and it came back with 0 rather than a blank value. Normally, if somebody doesn't report something, the value is blank rather than 0. Checked for whites and it was 0 there, too.

Errors have certainly been made. Reputable outlets correct them, but yes, it does damage.

Twenty years of Fox News and the GOP hammering away at news that's true but they don't like also does damage.

And a mentally ill president who screams "FAKE NEWS" at true stories does a helluva lot of damage.

Last poll I saw indicated, however, trust in the media is improving and trust in Trump Administration is eroding.

I hope that poll is right, but I have my doubts.

 

To be fair, being trusted more than Trump isn't exactly a high bar to clear.

But there has been a lot of excellent reporting, particularly by NYT and WaPo, that is hopefully bringing back some media trust.

That being said, we're so fractured as a country, and with everyone having their own personal news feed giving them only the information they want to hear, trust in media will never return to a high level.

 

Why has Dowd not been fired yet if he did, in fact, defy all logic and tweet incorrect information through the President's Twitter account while pretending to be him?

Why does anyone alive believe this ridiculous conclusion?
