How self-loathing is the left? It finally wins something — a SENATE SEAT — in Ala-fucking-bama and the only thing it can do is wonder whether or not it deserved to win and if it was for the right reasons and if Alabama likes them likes them or is just pretending to like them until a moderate Republican asks it to prom.

Next thing you know they'll be offering to give the seat back in exchange for magic beans.

So how come all these individual families know what's going to happen to their taxes, but Congress doesn't know what's in the bill yet?

Haha - I'm a CPA (though I don't specialize in taxes) and I have family members asking me questions about the bill. It hasn't even gone through reconciliation. How should I know?

I suspect the reality show presidency is a scripted drama in this instance.

  6. Election Night at the Mall That Banned Roy Moore

    Forrest Fletcher, lifelong Gadsden resident

I voted Roy Moore because I’m a Christian and the moral values of him standing up years ago for the 10 Commandments and just his values and the things he stands for, and I’m a conservative so I believe in the things he believes, and I believe we need conservative people in this country.

If Moore is guilty of what he’s accused of, I still would have voted for him. Two reasons. One reason: That’s the guy’s past, as bad as it was. I don’t condone something like that; that’s perverted, but it’s in his past. Second of all, the way I look at it, the liberals stand for things that are just as corrupt and as evil. I would still vote for Moore, or maybe not at all. https://splinternews.com/election-night-at-the-mall-that-maybe-banned-roy-moor-1821245198

It's like being happy you went to the doctor and didn't test positive for gonorrhea.
We look like assholes internationally. Take the temperature next time abroad.

Exit polls indicate 80 percent of white evangelicals who voted chose Moore.
These people, if they do anything meaningful at all, do tend to get out and vote.
So again, I don't see what there is to celebrate.
Give them someone who isn't like Elmer Fudd and who doesn't have a history of alleged predation and maybe 95 percent of them will vote for the Republican.

I wish this were the case.
