If a Supreme Court justice opening happens in the last nine months of Trump's first term, I'd love to see McConnell explain how Trump shouldn't wait until the people decide who should fill the vacancy.

Politicians play politics? That manuscript will be a best seller.

We'll see what they actually put forward, what the details are, and how quickly it happens.

If people who aren't sick aren't part of the pool, it's hard to make it cheaper and better. Maybe Trump has files on health care professionals across the nation from his friend Julian Assange and will make them work for minimum wage. That could work.

Let's just use Occam's Razor. If the Republicans had a replacement for Obamacare they thought was a political winner, or even neutral, they'd have passed it back in 2015. They didn't even think about it until 11/9/2016. They're miles from having a replacement that can pass with just Republican votes. So this will take awhile, until they figure out a way to sell their voters on losing insurance/having it cost more by assuring them minorities are losing everything in the same deal.

I want to praise an honest man in Washington. Asked if the Republicans might not be able to repeal/replace Obamacare, Rep. Kevin Cramer (R) said, "I've stopped underestimating our ability to screw up good things." It's a bipartisan truth! He could've been a Democrat and said the same thing.

That's not Occam's Razor, that's willful ignorance, akin to those "Number of Deaths by Muslim Terrorists Since So-and-So" things that conveniently choose 2002 as their starting point.

If the Republicans had come up with a replacement for Obamacare that was even close to a political winner, the probability they'd actually have gotten it enacted was zero. President Obama was not going to sign anything other than "fixes" that enhanced the ACA's ACA-ness, and the Democratic caucus was perfectly capable and willing to sustain any such veto.

The Democrats all campaigned on getting rid of the part that was supposed to help pay for it.

If the Republicans had a plan they would have enacted it an MADE Obama VETO it.

Trump will VETO more bills in his first year than any other President in their entire term. And he'll do it via Twitter.
