Speaking of PR, mocking people getting raises and bonuses is a winning strategy. Keep it up.

 

How is that mocking the people getting the raises and bonuses? Nobody's criticizing them at all.

 

I'm guessing that we're unlikely to convince each other on this, but forcing private school parents to double pay tuition is debilitating and for many of us $10,000 is a drop in the bucket. I know I will take a hit on this exchange and I guess many others will too. The private school deduction just mitigates the damage of the state & property tax hit.

 

This is a succinct summation of our world.

 

I didn't know about the private school deduction. That's great. Makes the idea of paying for private school for our daughter much more reasonable, though it will cost more than $10,000 per year.

 

Senior White House advisor has a very odd misconception about the tax bill.

 

The Obama stimulus bill contained a direct tax cut on payroll taxes that was immediate and for those earning the median or less larger than the one for them in this bill. Every worker pays payroll taxes. A year later, a CBS News poll found that all of 12 percent of adults said their taxes had been cut.
