Hate that. It would be awesome if the protestors could topple the regime. But the deck is really stacked against them.

They need all the support they can get. Not silence from world leaders -- a take that is shameful and an approach that created this mess.

There are plenty of sources of information out there. But the primary sources more readily available to the less media savvy among us -- which is the majority of Americans -- have done a terrible job covering this. As I mentioned, the AP led with pro-government rallies yesterday. Anti-regime protesters are putting their lives on the line -- some losing them -- and the AP leads with that? Talk about burying the lead. Then you have the NYT bureau chief doubling down on his nonsense about how the Iranian people are fine with the government because at least the Ayatollah isn't Trump! And of course the disgusting stuff cran linked from WaPo about how we should meet the mullahs oppression and violence with silence. These people aren't even trying to report on what is happening. They're legacy protectors, not journalists.

You usually have more perspective on what it's like outside our Internet bubble.

Well, good for hear for not staying silent but the government is the problem, not part of the solution.

“You guys never cover X” actually means “someone wrote something I didn’t like about X” for the 9 millionth time. Such it is with Iranian freedom resistance, such it is with prep sports.

It is shameful and I don’t understand it. That’s one of the most oppressive regimes in history. It’s in everyone’s best interests - except Hezbollah and Assad - if it gets overthrown.
