Why is this so hard for Dems?

Even if you think it's not needed, how is it not a good deal?

It's almost like improved border security offends you.

Right, because the choice was between someone who made policy choices on a myriad of topics taking into account expert opinions, cost/benefit analysis and politics and someone who can’t define ‘myriad’. And you want to knock someone for thinking through a problem and arriving at answers

This is a silly argument. We don't need an exploited underclass so that we can enjoy lettuce and tomatoes.

It’s almost as if 18 trillion dollars in graft is the appropriate level of extortion while accomplishing no border security. It’s almost as if the cure for republican pedophilia is heroin addiction and stupidity

    What's there to prove?

If people love lettuce and tomato, they'll pay more for them.

Or, we can design guest worker programs, where the workers are legal, and not exploited.

I'm not sure how it became to be considered liberal and compassionate to import an underclass of workers, who work for below market wages, without benefits, overtime, or other protections, to pick vegetables or wipe our babies asses.

How about corporations that employ even a single illegal alien pay $10,000,000 fine-per illegal alien? That’s incentive enough to keep all illegals from getting a job. But conservatives don’t want this. Conservatives who have money don’t want this. Conservatives with money like illegal aliens. Cheap labor. Exploitable labor is a republican wet dream, if republicans could actually get erections. It’s easy to solve the immigration problem, if that’s what you want to do. But what republicans want to do is nothing but talk tough, like most impotent bullies. But you knew knew that

It's also a complete myth that every illegal worker is doing some terrible, low paying job that no American would ever do.

There are lots of illegals doing construction, working in restaurants, and doing all sorts of other work.

The guy in @RickStain's heart tugging story worked as an auto mechanic. Is that a job Americans won't do?

And, when you rob people of the opportunity to take an entry level job, like one in a restaurant, which was traditionally a first job, you end up with a generation of people with no work history. It sets folks up for failure.
