It’s called Temporary Protected Status. It was never meant to be a path to citizenship.

 

I agree with Cran. While type is right in that celebrities will now glom onto the presidency because of Trump, I'm hoping most Americans will realize the job is more than a popularity contest.*

I actually believe there is a powerful countervailing trend in which people will seek out a candidate who they perceive as competent if uninspiring that would let them take a break from politics whenever they wished. In short, a President who didn't need to be the center of attention each and every day. Celebrities live off attention, so that's tough for them.
