    It's back! Thanks Moddy.

(And to those who derailed this last...please take the petty personal BS somewhere else next time?)

It's only a number of states, not all 57.

So, it appears the government will shut down on the one-year anniversary of Trump's inauguration. Something sort of fitting about that. Though, he's broken much of it long before now.

It really shouldn't be lost in all this that we're here because of GOP actions. Trump killed DACA for no reason other than spite and perhaps racism. And republicans failed to fund CHIP. We shouldn't be here, but the blame is clear.

Worst part of the shutdown is Trump will have even more time to tweet. The horror.

I’ve replaced one or two in my day ... I’m sure you could do it. Sheesh, cheap as stuff is on Amazon/Ebay ...

They can paint it however they want, but the Republicans let CHIP expire in September. It was never a priority to fix. They kept it back as a bargaining chip to try to bait Democratic votes, and when the Dems refuse to take the deal being forced on them, the R's want to blame them.

I look for the R's to catch the blame for a shutdown, because no matter how you cut it, they are in the majority across the board. If they wanted to get a deal done, it could have been cut and over long since. Sure the same old 35% will drink the Koolaid, but most of the country isn't going to buy it.

Trump paid $130k through a shell company to hush up a porn star who had dirt on him. What and who else is out there that he may be vulnerable to? More to the point, if we know about this one, what might the Russians have on him? Using swallows to get blackmail material on visitors to Russia is a very old game for them.

It's not open that I take hope from Lindsay Graham, but I think he's talking sense here.

If Republicans couldn’t pass it on a party line vote, then Dems would be wise to vote for cloture, to force a vote, which would fail.

I am gobsmacked to learn that Democrats will blame Republicans if there’s a shutdown. It’s like I don’t know my country any more ...
