I don't know. I was just taken in by the intensity of what was going on.

 

If Rocky could have convinced conservatives that he would fight for their priorities, maybe they would have been willing to overlook his personal life.

Trump was clearly the candidate in the 2016 Republican primary who was most willing to fight -- whether that meant against the status quo, congress, the media, or liberals.

 

So the Air Force Academy has canceled athletics contests because of the shutdown. Haven't seen anything re Army or Navy. Anybody know why the different approaches?

 

When your starting point for negotiations is an unnecessary wall, 10k new border agents we don't need, and to make it a *crime* for some people (what a shock, they're not white) to make less than 125% of the poverty line, then whether or not you have "flexibility" is not a problem. You aren't negotiating in good faith, you *want* things to fall apart.

 

True. He will absolutely fight for conservatives' priorities. The problem is, outside of white nationalism, they don't seem to have any priorities other than fighting.

Hence why they can't effectively govern despite leveraging a minority of votes into unopposed control over the federal government.
