    Can you imagine if a President told the clappers in the audience to sit down so they could try and finish the speech before the people who have to work in the morning go to bed? I don't mind applause lines, but they should follow specific policy proposals, not just name checks.

    Of course, "of those watching" = the members of the 30% who could stand to sit through it (or claimed that they did). I kinda doubt that the Resistance was glued to the tube.
