Even more Junior stupidity. It ain't the media that cares about having less info. It's the FBI and Justice Department.

These guys quit because they're not working anymore, or more accurately, not getting paid anymore. Remaining attorney, Green, is a plea bargain expert and Watergate and Iran-Contra veteran. Gates has gotten his deal and will be a witness against Manafort.

Isn't the basic situation this: The White House is hoping to muddle the politics of the case enough to diminish the standing of those who may potentially charge him? I understand the WH thinking that having an active investigation going on isn't really good, but if there is nothing to it, as they claim - they would do far more damage cutting it short - politically.

This is why Wray can and maybe will go public saying the memo is a crock and Trump won't lay a finger on him. Firing two FBI directors over the same investigation is not a good look unless you're Sean Hannity.

Trump's play, absolutely, is that even if the investigation finds him guilty of however many terrible things, if he casts enough doubt on the investigators, he'll skate. Like what Johnnie Cochran did with Mark Fuhrman.

And we all know how that case turned out.

It's a little different when the jury is 200 million registered voters. Or worse, a bunch of politicians scared of losing their jobs.

I thought Manafort was singing. Now he's going to trial?
