No matter what Devin Nunes's memo says, getting a FISA warrant is actually pretty hard

The memo wasn't released for most Americans, it was released for Trump's base so they will stick with him when it gets worse. Might as well have been written by an SEC fanboy complaining that that ref has a wife who went to the school that got a break on a blown call.

The DOJ is an interesting beast, deals with the Judiciary but is led by the Executive. The way it is supposed to work is that the AG establishes priorities for the US attorneys to prosecute - but doesn't interfere with actual cases.

 

It's quite telling that the Nunes press release came out on the Friday before the Super Bowl.

There will be some squawking tonight, but then everyone will be focused on the weekend, and the game, and Monday will be the aftermath of the game, and then everyone will move on, except for the RWSM, who will be bitching about why the libruhl media isn't focusing on the nothingburger press release 24/7.

 

No, it's not.

 

Isn't Nunes a chairman? If not, he missed his calling, since he's really milking this.
