I’ve adopted the Clarence Thomas model at faculty meetings. I’ve said one thing in five years ... some little fuckstick was claiming this other committee I was on had voted in support of something or another (not only was this committee bitterly divided on the issue, we were so divided we couldn’t even agree to take a vote). My Hickville-accented voice booming out over the auditorium — “No, that is absolutely not the case” — actually startled people.
