Religiously, if Christmas is the holiest day for Christians (Santa and Rudolph aside) then the equivalent would be Yom Kippur, which is the holiest day for Jews.

 

I don’t think that’s what he was saying at all. It was our president who said not clapping during the SOTU was treasonous.

I started substituting "God" where the prayer book calls for "he" and "him" some time ago.

It's a retail store holy day.

 

Then if it's Easter, then Easter would be the equivalent of Yom Kippur in terms of importance.

Christmas would be more in line with Rosh Hashanah. Important, but not the top holiday.

Either way, the Sabbath is important in both religions, but he holidays are on a higher level of importance.
