    The rationale for going with it is shaky ground for sure. Not sure how I feel about it.

    On the other hand, after all the awful, disqualifying things he's done, and all the lies he's told... yeah no sympathy. Karma is real.

    Trump might have considered this before he threw all of our U.S. intelligence agencies under the bus.

    My take on this. ... Trump made an enemy of the intelligence agencies when he dismissed their findings, and he generally acted like Trump. So this is them hitting back. Who knows how much truth there is to it? (Although I suspect there is SOME truth to it).

    But they append it to the briefing they were giving him, to send a message that they know things about him, and he had better start playing ball. And then for good measure, they conveniently leaked the thing to the news media, to turn it into a news cycle, and weaken him (at least they think they are weakening him).

    As for Russia having compromising info about Trump? No proof. But come on. Aside from all of the dishonest financial things that he has left a trail of. ... Anytime Trump was in Moscow, you have to figure there was intense surveillance / recording of him. That is Putin's MO. And Trump is an idiot. Putin could have hand delivered some underage hookers and a mound of blow to Trump's hotel room, and Trump would still have been ridiculous enough to not understand what was going on.

    What an incredible false equivalence. The reporting on this is riddled with caveats about reliability. I don't know that I agree with the decision to run it, but brushing it off by comparing with the crap coming out of Macedonia is intellectually dishonest garbage.
