    Not at all. Joe's son is presumed innocent until proven guilty. As such, he can get his son the best legal representation possible to defend his son, who is not guilty of anything until proven so in the court of law. The police regularly arrest people on pretext stops who are far below the legal .08 limit, and charge them with DUII .

    Now, if Joe's son is proven guilty and then Joe asks for a lenient sentence, then he's a hypocrite.
