I didn't say that calling GWB (and Romney etc.) ugly names brought us Trump. Just that once he got elected, and you called him the same names you've been trotting out every time you lose an election, it's hard to take you seriously when you say "this time we really mean it."

Now that I've said it, it's my fault when Illinois Republicans nominate a literal Nazi. My bad.

It's only "hard to take you seriously" from people who want excuses not to take it seriously. It's naked confirmation bias, nothing more.

If I called names when my guy lost elections, then I'd have been slagging Obama for eight years. And the same applies to all these cries from the extreme right about socialism and destroying the 2A and whatever other crap they throw out to insult Democrats and fire up the brain-dead base.

Funny what being an expert at something does to a guy ...

You should try developing some expertise in ... something ... sometime.

Your expertise *always* seems to come up when someone with an R next to their name, or their foreign allies, have done something blatantly wrong and you just can't possibly see how it could make much of a difference.

I've seen what your expertise looks like. It's eyeballing gerrymandering and guessing it makes a couple of seats difference. I wasn't impressed.

You wouldn't be ... but then again, all those hours mining Reddit ain't exactly the stuff of expertise.

But doesn't that imply that I'm rather easily impressed?

Yes ... all someone has to do is pretend they take you seriously.

Are you saying that, in your expert opinion, you just can't see how I could make much of a difference?

One doesn't need to be much of an expert to properly assess your track record of ... difference-making.
