Why will it be so interesting to watch "play out" if you're so certain it will be canceled?

I'd bet he has at least some advisors telling him he should go out there and be aggressive in his denial then attack the media.

    He isn't canceling.

If he cancels, he's admitting it's true.

That's what I've come around to. He can't. He's got to come out and attack and hope no pictures surface any time soon.

He basically admitted it when he, Putin and Wikileaks all moved their mouths in unison with the same denial.

Exactly. Julian Assange seems real late to this particular party.

Certainly far from a fan of the guy, but he generally tends to be pretty accessible to the press, so far as I can tell, and doesn't shy away from answering questions--even if his responses are complete BS most of the time. He always made himself available for the Sunday shows (albeit by phone), and has done a number of big interviews since he's been elected, including with the Times. Moreover, he's quoted in stories far more frequently than other politicians I can think of, and in response to story-specific questions, not just something the reporter pulled from an earlier interview or a speech. Half the time I don't even think the local dog catcher would bother offering comment for some of the stories he's quoted in.

Which is all to say I doubt he'll cancel.

Nobody "chose" to give him any authority; he simply marched in and took over the role of the board's leading cheerleader/apologist/propagandist/talking points foghorn/alt-right enforcer/vigilante for Team Dumpf.

Almost every message board on the internet has one (usually one or two); I wonder if they had signup sheets or drew them by lots or something. But they've got almost every goddamn board on the intertoobs covered.

Their tenacity, terminology and techniques are amazingly consistent. They're especially fond of dishing out warnings to "be careful."

Maybe it makes them feel tough to act like they're threatening people. Or maybe they know something.

He hasn't held an actual press conference since July.
