He's fucked. This is the sort of forum, and a crowd, where the dumb talking points and cheap slogans aren't going to work.

 

The bullet velocity is usually higher and most shooters would be more able to keep the bullets more on target with a rifle because there is different leverage to control recoil. That’s a couple differences that come quickly to mind.

 

He's looking for ways NOT to support an assault weapon ban. Massive fail.

Largely, yes. Some pistols with double-stack magazines might come close to 30 rounds, but 30s are the standard for ARs. You can buy as many of them as you want for $15 or so from Magpul.

Accuracy is another factor. It’s easier to hit a target with a rifle than pistol from the same distance for most people.

 

The school and police 100% handled that the right way, but calling that a thwarted school shooting plot is a little over-the-top. It was *probably* just a dumb shit kid running his mouth, and his brother happened to be a gun nut. But again: they still handled it the right way.

 

Kid lands a near-fall on NRA money.

 

Because you typically rest a rifle against your shoulder/body when firing, it's also far more accurate.
