    I know this concept is hopelessly beyond your grasp, but the problems in police culture transcend political parties and the people trying to fix them are doing it because they actually care about making the world a better place and not just scoring points for the laundry

    I think that YF has been very critical of urban policing, and is being critical here. He's not accusing the guy of lying. He's accusing him of being part of the problem.

    Yep. The unions would protect the cops, who would likely spend a day in diversity training.

    The cop who reported them would be ostracized, and their life would be in danger.
