I have executive produced news shows and no, I would never have allowed someone on my air who we suspected of being drunk. Erin Burnett’s question is an indictment of her and her show’s judgment.

Maybe the Fox News viewers around here can explain this to me but I ask in all seriousness. HRC loses the election 16 months ago and with the exception of a mea culpa book tour and a gag or two has kept a low profile, so don’t you think FN’s fixation on her makes its viewers look ridiculous at best?

This wasn't Robert Durst, on the verge of admitting to murder.

This was a guy, who had been fired 10 months before the Trump Tower "Russian" meeting. His interviews -- especially as the day went on -- had no news value to begin with.

But, because he was willing to say that Trump had done something wrong, though he also said he had no evidence, and that it was his opinion, the networks were happy to put him on the air.

Was he drunk for all of his appearances yesterday? Reporters that have talked with him often said that he seemed "normal" to them. As somebody else noted, this isn't some Joe Schmo that is talking about a local event on Rhinelander TV. He is an adult that was very close to the President. If he had a drink before an interview I fail to see why Erin Burnett must police him.

He didn't seem drunk at all during the Turkey phone interview.

I like that she worked a book plug into her reply.

The President, who you would follow through the gates of hell, plugged branded water and steaks at a post-primary victory press conference.

    That's a very humble brag.
