It is. If his actions were so reprehensible as to compel his firing, he should have been fired immediately and not allowed to think he was going to collect his pension. Trump is one mean bastard.
On the other hand, I wonder if the attention to this will give him the platform to make that money by another means (book etc.)

And if you're going to express moral opposition about to lying to the FBI, you might want to make sure you and yours haven't done so already. Because, you know, I'm sure Trump and his minions have always been honest.
