    I was going to compare Stormy to Mary Magdalene, until I discovered that the depictions of her (Mary) as a promiscuous woman or prostitute have no basis in the original text of the Bible, but was "added" to spice things up in the Middle Ages.

    All I can say about the Evangelicals support of Trump is that they've never really been known for their "flexibility," or "understanding" with regard to this stuff.

    Evangelicals consist of religious con men and their marks. The hand wringing by liberals that evangelicals who support Trump are hypocrites falls under the classification of pretending to be stupid to avoid hurt feelings. Trumpism consists of a con man and his marks. Neither is going to be enlightened any time soon saving a "Face in the Crowd" moment.

    Liberals say, "well this isn't true, 'evangelical beliefs' are good, they are just not implemented correctly if they support Trump". No, con artists are bad and their victims are stupid.

    There are a lot of bad Evangelical leaders out there and rank-and-file. But there are also a lot of good ones who are focusing on what Jesus actually taught - caring for the poor, feeding the hungry and helping the outcast.
