President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Every time I start to feel bad for Melania Trump, I think of this.

And that she supported the racist birther movement.

So yeah, can't and won't have any sympathy.

 

I'm sure she was well aware of "the deal" when marrying Trump. And would have been fine if he never ran for President. Probably would have preferred it.

 

Smart kid.

 

John T. Reed is an interesting guy. Small town boy gets into West Point. Goes to Vietnam but is not promotable because he refuses to lie about bureaucratic stuff, e.g. all the jeeps are in operating order when they weren't. Gets out of the army and gets into real estate has success, sidelines in self-published real estate, self-help and football coaching books. I am guessing he is worth low 6 figures maybe 7. Starts web site accurately critiquing other real estate books and gurus and giving his opinion on military and current affairs.

Then Obama gets elected and he loses his mind. Early adopter of Obama is not black meme, he had a white mother. Early adopter of Obama is a going to destroy democracy and become a dictator meme. Is convinced the country is going to fail under Obama and starts writing on the best ways to get your money out of the country, buy foreign currency, and which countries to immigrate to when the time comes. All this of course while denying any racist motives, hell a black football player he coached mentioned him as a mentor at an awards ceremony.

Eight years of Obama go by not only without disaster, but pretty well for the country economically. Crickets.

Yeah, but they're so rude. Their language is so coarse. And they say mean things about politicians who accept money from the NRA. So they are by definition opponents of America and freedom and liberty. Don't they know they're supposed to react to witnessesing the murder of their friends by defending the almighty AR-15?

 

Again, millions of Americans feel the exact same way. Lots of political petulance going on.

 

That general meme lives on.

 

Right. Millions of Americans would rather side with a brutal dictatorship because officials talk shit about the opposing American political party. And you wonder why someone like Trump was elected.

 

They aren't siding with a brutal dictator ship. That language suggest that people didn't have problems with the guy in this country until they heard from Iran, which simply isn't true. This is a stupid and misleading argument, even by your standards.

 

And then when all of this is pointed out, they go full Mark McGwire and say they don't want to talk about the past.

 

The same generation that spouted "never trust anyone over 30" is now telling us not to listen to kids. I love it.
