I get that YF wants to gloat about the election results some more. I get that he wants to bathe in his hatred for Hillary Clinton a little longer, too.
That said, Clinton's flaws are now irrelevant. They have no place in a discussion of Trump's presidency. "But Clinton...." just isn't good enough any more. It was somewhat relevant during the election, but you can't reasonably use that to prop up Trump any more. He won. It's time to discuss him and his policies on merit, not on comparison to somebody he already defeated.

    Sick burn.

I was wondering if you could go on record with the exact expiration date for "blaming the previous administration is valid."

Exactly how deep into Trump's eight years of greatness is, "Obama's fault!" no longer valid?

There is a difference between setting the agenda and making what experienced people in the field judge to be bad decisions in setting it. We're talking about a transition team who didn't realize they had to fill all those White House staff jobs here, which hardly breeds confidence in their expertise... let alone discussing Bolton or Giuliani as SoS.

Look, if you can't get on board with the president's policies, don't join the administration. That only makes sense. But, Trump was very clear about changing the way we handle foreign policy. He ran on that and he won.

So, foreign policy experts shouldn't be surprised to find out that their policy positions won't be the policy positions of the new administration.

That's a fake story, spread by someone in the Obama administration, designed to embarrass Trump.

Bolton is qualified, but he's a neocon. He's another guy who would have to get on board with Trump's agenda if he wants that job.

Rudy should probably just ask to be Ambassador to Italy, and live it up for the next four years, but he's somebody who Trump knows well, who Trump trusts, and who has been advising Trump for months. He's on board with Trump's position.

There's no doubt that Giuliani would speak with the full authority of the administration.

He's a little bit of an odd fit, but if he's given the job, he'll do fine.

So, if we were to look at every COLUMN published by the NYTimes during Pinch Sulzberger's time at the head of it, would it also be fair to presume that he agreed with every one of them?

Here, I thought YF's work would be done after the election. It looks like its just beginning.
