Right or wrong on any particular issue, doggone it, I just don't like him.

 

Saying somebody hates something is dismissive. It assumes the person is responding emotionally rather than intellectually.

I don't hate her goals. I believe they are destructive to public education and inappropriate.

If you don't understand how somebody can be intelligent and ignorant, I suggest you look up the definitions of both words. I do believe she is a smart woman, but she lacks the knowledge of education that a person should have to hold that job. There are specific things she did not know when questioned yesterday that a Secretary of Education should know.

For example, somebody needs to explain the IDEA to DeVos. Also, Al Franken asked her if test scores should be used to measure proficiency or growth and she couldn't answer. She didn't even understand the distinction.

 

Really? I have never found this to be the case at all. If I thought a policy was destructive to something I value greatly, I would hate it. Wouldn't everyone?

If he dies of a stress-induced heart attack, people are going to think I'm the biggest asshole ever for celebrating with champagne and fireworks, and I do not care.
