One thing I will be watching is the affect on the Irish birth rate. Will it actually drop?

I have not seen a study but it is my belief that when abortion is legalized birth rates don't change much. Which leads me to believe that the abortions were previously being done illegally anyway.

I am am someone who, when push came to shove, would vote against legalizing abortion in a referendum. But my Latin wife, who was raised in a Latin country in a very large, very Catholic family, firmly supports legalized abortion. The reason. To take it out of the back alleys.
