Doesn't Susan Rice have some sort of "credibility issues"?

Shrug. Probably. Do they affect this opinion? IMO, no.

Navarro talked about Trudeau worse than we talked about Saddam Hussein when we were actually going to war with him. I cannot recall any time in my life that someone in the Executive talked that way about an allied head of state.

It's not Trudeau's job to shut up and do what Trump tells him like the lickspittles in the cabinet. It's his job to do what he judges best for his country. Frankly, I hope the Canadian sanctions are as accurately targeted as Mexico's were... and that they really start to bite hard about three weeks before the election. This tariff business is right at the top of the list of the stupidest things Trump has done since the election, right along with alienating the G7.

He's an incredible dumbass. The Republicans who are not speaking up are even worse, because they know that this is sixteen kinds of stupid and they still refuse to make a move to stop it.

This is a test. If Trump's supporters believe Canada's an enemy, his next step will be picking out who he wants to shoot on Fifth Ave.

It is probably worth pointing out that the dairy prices had been dealt with in the TPP, before Trump flushed that.

Wait a sec. I thought I'm the one who's supposed to use car analogies.

Because they realize the president is a wretched human being who deserves humiliation rather than thoughtless support. He is guided by his own interests -- financial, pathetically emotional -- rather than those of the country.

I agree with you and I don't think she has any credibility issues, but the typical wingnut is going to look at what she said and respond that you have to take it with a grain of salt because something, something Benghazi.

It's days and events like these that this thread misses @YankeeFan most. I'm not gonna wade into the Twitter or right-wing mediasphere to learn all the reasons this is the right approach(!); all is well!; etc. etc. -- where would I start, anyway? It was always nice to have a counterpoint.
