    It’s a joke, dipshit.

Not like Canada is France, who hits on all the women and runs away when things go south.

I'd say you're better than this, but you're really not.

    You're also a walking right-wing cliche factory.

France had more people killed in World War I than the United States has had killed in all its wars ever. To say France "runs away" is an insult to a country that knows way, way, way, way more about sacrifice in war time than we ever have.

    Oh, I like this game:

Germany is the alcoholic drinking club soda trying not to make the same mistakes of his past.

North Korea is the hammered guy down the block who is getting into his car and could drive through the bar's windows at any moment.

America is the loud, drunk guy singing along to Journey and waiting on his Mexican friend to pay the tab.

England is the guy with the bad haircut sitting by himself hoping his old friends ask him to come back over to their table.

That "20 percent of Canada's GDP depends on the U.S." thing. ...

Canada is the largest foreign supplier of oil, natural gas and electricity to the United States. More than 2/3 of our crude oil imports come from Canada.

The flip side of the ignorance in the 20 percent / let's see who flinches thing is that American consumers and businesses rely on Canada for natural resources -- sold more cheaply than we can get them elsewhere. That is the nature of trade. It is a mutually beneficial transaction. And we benefit as much from that 20 percent of Canada's GDP as they do.

This notion that we are going to show them. ... shows a fundamental misunderstanding of who gets hurt in this kind of trade war. You hurt yourself. Badly. You make things more expensive. This notion that we need to give preference to American businesses at the expense of American consumers (and businesses who transact with other businesses) misses the actual point of trade: We all benefit when trade enhances (not when it restricts) the goods available and the well-being of U.S. consumers. Trade protectionism as a tool to enhance U.S. sales and profits. ... comes at the expense of America.

Think about it. ... Why do you work? To get a paycheck in order to buy stuff. That 20 percent of Canada's GDP makes it so you can afford MORE stuff.

Canada is a utilitarian pickup truck, and America is the TruckNutz.

On D-Day, the allies landed on five beaches in Normandy. Juno was the Canadian beach.

Trump is a low-grade idiot studying to be a moron. Canada is not a country we should be at war with, trade or otherwise.

*edit* I reread that and realized that Trump never studies, and moreover that studying implies reading. I guess he's going to be stuck on low-grade idiot.

Considering consistently have to pull out the "I was joking! Where's your sense of humor/humour?" defense, you may need to recalibrate.

Nah. If the Justin/oop/Baron/smallpotatoes/you wing is confused, that’s a point in my favor.
