I don't know that I've seen it mentioned here, but Nigel Farage, one of the big movers who got Brexit passed, has had a number of ties to the Russians disclosed in the last couple of days. It's blowing up into a real stinker of a scandal over there. So many parts of it mirror how things happened here in 2016.

I read in my American history class that we finally won the Revolutionary War when a huge armada of American ships showed up off the Virginia coast to blockade Yorktown, making further British resistance futile and effectively forcing them to surrender. Of course, those American ships all flew French flags and had French crews, but they were 'Merican!

Then I read when American banks gave our fledgling government loans to get us through the Revolutionary War and the first decade of our existence as a country. Of course, these American banks were located in France and Holland.

But, we weren't in a real jam then, I guess.

 

As the holder of a British passport that will be far less useful in a little less than two years, I'm hoping against hope that the UK realize how badly they were duped by the Brexiteers and somehow call it a mulligan.
