Gotta wonder how long Manafort, with his multiple million-dollar homes and other luxuries gained over decades selling out of his country, will last in the joint before he whines like conservative hero Roy Moore and starts looking to deal.
Perhaps Jefferson Beauregard Secessions XVII will drop by and offer Scripture verses of consolation.

There are now about enough GOP members of Congress who are lame ducks, retiring or whatever that they could flip on Trump without repercussions from GOP voters. And still plenty of primaries left to go.

 

US has been accusing them of an anti-Israel bias for several years. Boycotted the group under Bush43, IIRC.

Can Ms. Giannetti really be that naive? My law school class (not UVA, but not a school to scoff at either) had the governor's son, sons of two congressmen and a state supreme court justice's daughter in it.

 

Sadly, that's not remotely close to true. In the Senate, you'd need at least 19 republicans to grow a spine and vote for removal. And that number will go up when the GOP expands its majority in November. Won't happen. Very few republicans are even up for election this cycle. Only nine seats, I think. And the results in Virginia indicate it's heresy and political suicide to cross the Saviour.

 

So not the University of Chicago.
