I'm curious about this as well.

    "Hard left" relative to what?

    How are we defining it?

I can't answer for Alma but I assume he's saying, in part, when the 16- to 21-year-old SJW's of today take power on local, state, and national levels.

And I don't necessarily disagree about the hard left shift to come.

    That, I understand.

My question asks Alma for his definition of "hard left."

How far "left" is the "hard left?"

Was Obama "hard left?" Clinton? Trotsky?

Crowley was an incumbent who never had to campaign before in his Congressional tenure, was largely unknown even to his constituents, and whose district had become large majority-minority during his tenure. He slept on the race while his Latina opponent worked real hard for a real long time. Ideology has less to do with her victory than do older classic themes of American politics, emerging ethnic groups seeking representation through the ballot box, young ambitious pols knocking off complacent older ones and good campaigners beating bad ones. The one national theme it echoes is that Democratic primary voters have been aggressively choosing women candidates whenever possible.

This is the 1,000-word visual of it. Alma can probably say it more succinctly.

Near as I can tell, she said Palestinian protesters didn’t deserve to be killed. That’s pretty much the bar these days for anyone right of center.
