Did the president ever get around to turning over control of his company?

    Additional spending didn't work.

    Give parents school choice.

Parents don't know what's best for their children. Liberals do.

Parents have choices now. They just have to pay if they want a religious education for their children.

Parents who can't pay for a better education don't deserve any other options.

They do. They deserve better public schools.

Honestly, out of all the things conservatives seem desperately to want, vouchers to have the state pay for their religious schools are probably the least objectionable to me.

That's very thoughtful of you. Allowing them that.

Allow? It's what the government should be pushing, not paying for religious schools.

Private schools do a nice job of selling the lie that they are better, when the real edge is that they can pick which students they want and reject the rest. Public schools don't have that option.

Private school students also tend to draw parents who put a higher priority on their children's education. If they didn't, they wouldn't be spending extra dollars rather than send them to the local public school.

There are only so many resources to go around. Some students are still going to be in piss-poor schools for one reason or another. Vouchers aren't going to change that, they are just going to allow money meant for public education to be diverted to religious education.

Seems to be plenty of money to go around. Guess you just want to keep it from certain people.

No, I don't, but keep on lying if it makes you feel better.

And no, there isn't plenty of money to go around for education, and there will be even less if people like Betsy DeVos manage to steal huge chunks from the public schools.

I'm sorry American ideals such as the separation of church and state bothers you so much.
