What if Cohen pleads guilty but claims Trump knew nothing about the payoffs? Is that possible?

Interesting to see what Cohen acts of campaign finance fraud will plead to. As dirty as he probably was, it could be anything.

I'm reading that it's a plea deal without Cohen testifying... which does not rule out a further deal once he's spent some quality time in a cell.

 

Forget it, he's roleing.

 

Assume that Cohen takes a deal and Manafort is convicted, and Trump commutes both of their sentences. It that finally enough, or does Trump hold on?

 

Trump's holding on till he's voted out.

 

I don't see what's in it for either the government or Cohen to just cop a plea without something on the other side of it. Namely leniency in exchange for testimony.
