There are three possibilities here.

1. Cristhian Rivera is not an illegal alien.

2. The murderer is not Cristhian Rivera but instead someone who stole Cristhian Rivera's identity and used his name, SSN, DOB and presented a forged SS card and picture ID when applying for work at Yarrabee Farms.

3. Yarrabee Farms is lying when they say he passed e-verify.

Of course, it’s voter fraud allegedly committed by a Republican, and (as ever) they won’t recognize anything they do as voter fraud.

An election fraud scandal is roiling Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District, which Rep. Scott Taylor (R-VA), an iron-pumping, flag-wearing former Navy SEAL, has represented for most of one term.

Forty-one voters and counting have asserted in affidavits that their signatures — or the signatures of their relatives, both living and deceased — were forged in order to get the 2016 Democratic congressional nominee on the ballot as an independent.

The apparent aim of the alleged forgery scheme was to split Democratic voters between last cycle’s nominee, Shaun Brown, and this year’s nominee, Elaine Luria.

As it happens, Taylor’s own paid campaign staffers collected the signatures in question — and indicated that they “witnessed the signature of each person who signed this page” and “understand that falsely signing this affidavit is a felony.”

The Democratic National Committee contacted the FBI on Tuesday after it detected what it believes was the beginning of a sophisticated attempt to hack into its voter database, a Democratic source tells CNN.

The DNC was alerted in the early hours of Tuesday morning by a cloud service provider and a security research firm that a fake login page had been created in an attempt to gather usernames and passwords that would allow access to the party's database, the source said.

The DNC and the two companies involved in detecting the operation say they believe they thwarted a potential attack.

The fraudulent page was designed to look like the access page Democratic Party officials and campaigns across the country use to log into a service called Votebuilder, which hosts the database, the source said, adding the DNC believed it was designed to trick people into handing over their login details.

The source said the DNC is investigating who may have been responsible for the attempted attack, but that it has no reason to believe its voter file was accessed or altered.
