And many of the PR deaths might have been because of no insulin, or no refrigeration for it. No oxygen tank. Any number of medical assistance devices require power.

No AC. How many old people die in Chicago or NY when a heatwave comes through and 80 year old+ people can't take the heat? Even a shortage of water in some of the more isolated places, combined with the heat. Stress causing a heart attack.

Trump only wants to include deaths caused directly by wind or water when the storm hit. People had to live with the aftermath, and those conditions caused any number of different sorts of injury.

That's why he had strong antiwar sentiment. He was no pacifist in the White House, but he was very skeptical of a lot of proposed military adventures, and sought to negotiate differences with the Soviet Union.

“These are old and unproven allegations” was not an issue when Trump brought Juanita Broadderick and others to the St Louis debate in 2016. cnn.com/2016/10/09/pol…“ Maggie Haberman NYT

It's also why he deemphasized investment in conventional weapons and huge ground forces -- as well as "limited war" -- to contain communism, focusing instead of building up the nuclear deterrent and threatening "massive retaliation" in response to potential communist aggression.

I think he has been on record many times in the past decade or so as saying he regretted the impeachment, for what it’s worth. Though I agree it does come off as disingenuous.

They'll shut down the hearings and ram him through, probably Monday.

I'm actually surprised they had hearings at all, for this very reason.

I don't see how they can say it's unsubstantiated, or that the timing is fishy.
There's a paper trail on this going back to 2012.
And the only reason it's coming up now is because Feinstein sat on it for months.

I'm not sure what the makeup is now, but as of a few years ago the Arizona legislature's Higher Ed Committee didn't include a single college graduate.

Quite a few key Executive Branch spots occupied by people with zero public service experience prior to 2017.

Yep. The Republicans need that seat to reclaim their 5-4 majority on the court and they need it now.
