The Friday vote means Murkowski and Collins are on board. Thursday will be a display of earnest looks and serious tones of voice, none of which will be real.

They're sure they're going down in November so they want to make sure they have total control of the unelected branch of government which can give itself total power. But Collins and Murkowski don't vote in committee. The only possible dissenter (ha!) is Flake. Collins is an obvious yes. She has been nothing but angry that her constituents might hold her responsible for overturning Roe v. Wade. Classic entitled Congressional asshole. It'll be 51-49. There is no longer any percentage for the red state Democrats to vote yes. Any who do are not good at politics.

I think Collins was a lot braver when Olympia Snowe was still in the Senate. When she left it left Collins all alone as a New England moderate Republican women

Yep to your first sentence. They have to get Kavanaugh in to cement Republican control of the Supreme Court for a generation.

If Cruz is not doing what he campaigned that he would be doing, folks should call him on that.

But I don't think that's what's happening. It's those who didn't vote for him who likely are upset. You lost. Take it on the chin and work for a better result next time. But don't make a spectacle of yourself because a guy who campaigned on "X" turns out to be a supporter of "X".

We're a nation of spoiled children.

Th difference between Muslim terrorists like Osama BinLaden and a Christian Terrorists like Ken Starr and Sean Hannity it that the Muslims want you to die and the Christians make you wish you were dead.

My understanding of Alaska is if you are a registered Democrat you only get to vote on the seats that have Democrats running.

Ain't a horse that can't be rode or a man that can't be throwed. The first time the Democrats have control of Congress and the White House the Court will be packed, all its decisions since 2017 nullified by act of Congress and Kavanaugh impeached. No more norms. If you have the votes, use them as you will. That's a good way for a democracy to thrive, but it's what we have now, so it's either use the power when you get it or democracy ends anyway.
