So will Kavanaugh. I think she is coming off extremely well, and in a sympathetic way. I'd be way more inclined to believe she really believes everything she is saying than to not believe her. But short of any corroboration, unfortunately, you will get Kavanaugh saying it didn't happen, and just like her, he'll be doing it under penalty of perjury. These other two clowns she has named should absolutely be there under subpeona. Maybe they say they have no memory. Or maybe the gravity of it all jogs their memories. It's outrageous that they aren't there.

The 20-40% across-the-board price increases at Walmart will be a real winner. Dammit Obama.

Kavanaugh has already lied in his previous testimony about his work in the Bush White House. A congressional hearing, House or Senate, isn't built to find things out. This one was to provide political cover for Republicans to vote for Kavanaugh. So far, I don't think it's working too well.

Whatever the actual number, OF COURSE this is going to drive up the costs of inputs -- for lots of businesses. If they raise prices, it will hit sales. If they eat the cost increases, it will hit their profits.

I want to punch the TV, every time I hear Trump say the tariffs are going to bring in all kinds of revenue to the treasury. That is a tax on American consumers. It's not a GOOD thing. It's idiotic. Especially when he talks about how he has cut taxes and put money in people's pockets, and then misrepresents this which countereffects those tax cuts.

To the extent that the tariffs get passed along on the prices of finished goods that lots of low-income people buy at Walmart or Target, it is going to hit them disproportionately. To the extent that they hit the cost of inputs that US businesses buy, it is going to drive up their costs and hurt our economy.

And it has just been glossed over.

I can't imagine watching Ford and thinking "Liar." You can believe she's misremembering. I don't understand anyone thinking she's a fabricator. That would take a level of partisanship that qualifies as a sickness.

and those who are most concerned that she's lying seem to be burning a lot of calories to avoid undertaking truth-finding endeavors
