OK if it makes you feel better to feel miserable, go for it. You and I can't know the polls are wrong because 1. Elections a month away. 2. The only polls that can be "wrong" are the last ones before any election. Minds change. One month before the 2016 election was the day the Access Hollywood tape came out. If the election had been the next Tuesday following that, very unlikely Trump wins.

You can say the same thing about the other side. No one handled that situation well.

My read of that story was that Nichols said exactly that -- that neither party handled that situation well.

Never thought I’d live to see the First Lady be Charo.

This is the same flawed argument that we keep hearing in defense of the Republicans. Both sides could have handled things better. Sometimes it is true. Sometimes it isn't. But either way, there are degrees of bad and President Trump and the Republicans keep doing it worse time and again. The confirmation process revealed Kavanaugh to be a liar. It revealed that he can't keep his composure under pressure. It revealed that he may have an alcohol problem. It revealed that there is more than one complaint of sexual misconduct against him, one that at least sounded credible. The FBI investigation was handcuffed from the beginning and the result was a joke. There was no real integrity in the process. Everything the Democrats did wrong, such as pushing a bit too hard on allegations that aren't supported by evidence, doesn't even come close to stacking up with what the other side did.

Have any other SCOTUS justices been presented to the American public on primetime TV?

That's like saying "we both violated the penal code"; yeah but you shot and killed someone, I only jaywalked.

The Alt-Right is the height of hypocrisy and its not close.

AR says left unduly delayed Kavanaugh vote; well AR held Garland nomination hostage for 11 mos, 25% of a presidential term!! That's ridiculous.

AR says left is making Entitled Rich White Males victims, well AR is killing unarmed blacks senselessly and then claiming that the officers are the victims. More ridiculousness.

AR says left is "tax and spend" party that kills economy, well AR, the supposed "fiscally responsible" party, has run up the largest deficits in history (real dollars) and just granted the largest tax cut in history, then compounded the problem by increasing expenditures (defense and all in.) Further ridiculousness.

Keep your platitudes and dog-whistle mantras to yourself, be a true intellectual and come up with facts, not your wannabe truths. Prove your points.
