Unless something we don't know about comes out, I think Haley played this very well. She got out without a bunch of speculation that she'd be dragged into Kelley's office. She stayed until the Kavanaugh craziness was over but announced a move before the midterms. She's one of the few Trump WH insiders to be able to step to the sidelines with her reputation more or less intact.

You get forcibly separated from your parents at 4 or 6 or 9, then never
see them again, safe to say you're probably crazy for life. Way to go, Fucko.

Whoever played the “Trump lied ... Drink!” game surely died of alcohol poisoning tonight. The thread is epic. One after the other.

Alexa’s case began in November 2015 under the Obama administration, years before Trump’s family-separation policy rolled out. Her 15-month separation from her mother exposes the fragile legal standing of children under the care of the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement and a flawed, piecemeal system that can change the course of a child’s life.

    oh.

Seriously. Immigration - what has happened for years, steps taken under previous administrations, the significant strain on local nonprofit agencies to try to deal with the sheer influx of refugees into communities, the economic shifts based undocumented immigrants - is, indisputably, the most misunderstood policy issue in America. Nothing comes close, and I'm including health care, which is far more understood. Liberals are pollyannish about immigration, conservatives kind of wanted to have it both ways, and Trump is the populist bull in a dishware shop. For as bad as it's been under Trump, it was not, by any stretch, good under previous administrations if your standard of "good" is whatever liberal orgs and Twitter thinks. It was simply uncool to loudly tack that to Obama's record the way it (deservedly) has been with Trump.

It's accurate that very few farms paid it in the first place.

Trump's new threshold amount does bring down the number of Americans paying the estate tax to 1,700 per year. Which is pretty low.

It’s those amazing Christian values. Conservatives are merely disciples of Christ

Basically, this is a lot like what the old Franco regime in Spain did, or Argentina doing the Dirty War of the 1970s. Political prisoners would be disappeared and then their kids would be raised by those loyal to the regime.

Why would it not surprise me - if he knew about this - Trump didn't give a fuck after hearing the guy was with the Post?

Taylor Swift is a much, much, much bigger name than Timberlake. I'm not sure there's a bigger name for this sort of thing.
