I voted for Mike Huckabee in 1998 and 2002. Seeing the caricature he's turned into since leaving the governorship (along with the naked nepotism of him naming a Game & Fish Nature Center after his wife) made me regret it.

I don't know what's worse about this statement. That he believes those people wouldn't understand he cancelled because of a natural disaster or that they actually wouldn't understand why

    John Anderson
    Walter Mondale
    Mike Dukakis
    Bill Clinton
    Harry Browne
    Al Gore
    John Kerry
    Barack Obama
    Barack Obama
    Hillary Clinton

That’s 10 presidential elections and I voted for only 3 winners and 2 people. Couldn’t vote for Bill Clinton in 1996. If he were the manager of the greatest business in America and had an affair in the office with an intern and lied about it to the Board of directors he would have been fired. I held him to the same standard.

The problem with the USAT op-ed is it fits neatly within the Trumpian "baffle them with bullshit" strategy.

Of course it's full of lies. The problem is that for his base, "lie" and "liar" are words that imply a value judgement and reinforce their belief in this whole "liberal media conspiracy" narrative.

So, they can let it go unchecked, or refuse to print it (or attempt to rebut it) and he'll just lead the MAGA Dipshit Tabernacle Choir in another chorus of "Enemy of the People."
