That’s the fault of the other media outlets. Why do the networks and other journalistic outlets constantly follow, quote and follow up what is said there? Jeanine Pirouette, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson are not news. They are opiniontainers. They are infomercials for a political brand. You dont go into a Honda dealership and they start talking about Toyota what they said about them and their products.

It's not foolish at all. His incompetence is a flaw. That deserves criticism. His fucked up priorities are a flaw. Those deserve criticism, too.

He's going to come up for re-election in 2020. Those things all need to be part of the evaluation then.

In the far nearer future, the mid-terms are in many ways a referendum on his presidency. All of his flaws need to be part of that discussion.

That's not the choice. I'm certainly not saying I want him paying attention to important things. It would probably be great for this country if he decided to take a nap until 2020.
