    We were discussing this last night, and decided Turkey may be the most dangerous country in the world right now. It's economy is big enough that it has regional clout, and to keep his dictatorship, Erdogan shelters a lot of radicalism. It largely falls beneath the American radar screen, because they put a mask of secularism and Westernism over their society.

    Now I don't know how objective I am. I saw Midnight Express when I was 10 or 11 years old, and it freaked the hell out of me. I like to travel, and Turkey is one place I have no interest in, because I am convinced my luggage is going to get searched, a kilo of heroin is going to magically appear and I am going to be sentenced to 12 decades in a Turkish prison.

    I remain convinced that the Turkish coup was a false-flag op designed to give Erdogan a chance to consolidate power while scapegoating people he thought weren’t fully on board with his agenda.

    The caller ID (which can easily be spoofed) is 850-222-1488. Fourteen is shorthand for the 14-word white supremacist slogan “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children” while 88 is shorthand for “Heil Hitler” (H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, and of course they went straight to Godwin’s Law).
