    The only thing that gives me the slightest hope right now is even the president’s supporters admit he is a piece of shit human being. They may still support him and think it’s necessary, but they pretty much all readily admit he’s a terrible human being.

    Love the random capitalization of "anger" and "mainstream media."

    What scares me most about him, isn't the bullshit and attempts to create enemies. It's that this is the hallmark of tinpot dictators. Critics, most notably, the press, are "the enemy of the people." Among the people who used that populist ploy to take away attention from their horrible actions were Stalin, Hitler and Mao. When people hear that, it should be sounding wailing arms. Instead, we are so inured to this asshole that people have been beaten down by it.

    In times like this, I always think about the de Tocqueville quote that Obama was fond of repeating — America is great because it is good.

    Sure, that may have been some hokey stuff, but it was something to believe in. Donald Trump is proof that America elected someone who simply is not good.
