President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Was just reminded I'm doing A1 on Sunday. It's Day 9 of our First 100 Days of Trump coverage. A bit of overkill, IMO.

 

It was discussed in the whole #FakeNews thing. More of it was directed towards right wingers, supposedly because liberals were too smart to fall for such a thing.

But, just today we have photoshopped hands, and this.

And, of course, NPR and others covered themselves in glory discussing Bannon's half quote, which is a whole other thing.

Oh, same here. I mean, @Michael_ Gee's been so reasonable of late ... what's a little death wish among friends? Just locker room talk, right?

 

Wonder if Brock Turner is on his paid speaking tour yet.

He's a great guy. You shouldn't bring up what happened in the past. Look into his heart.

 

Shiny objects have been raining down, but you'd like for us all to ignore them.

Nah. At some point, the preponderance of shiny objects, half-truths, "honest mistakes", and outright lies deserves a discussion.

So, photoshopped hands, missing MLK busts, Bannon telling the media to "shut up", and inaccurate stories about fetal development deserve their own place along side Trump's obsession with crowd photos.

 

Still looking to make a little book ... nobody's paying off on those "filibuster gone!" wagers. I'll lay 5-to-3 this kerfuffle will pass quietly as St. Michael polishes his halo.
