Trump faces pressure to keep sanctions from GOP

 

Anyone remember that story about Eric Trump on the plane telling the Muslim they weren't really going to do bans and a registry? That it was just a ruse to get elected? I believe @YankeeFan and the rest of America's suckers saw that as evidence that Trump was only a pragmatist and a deal-maker.

A. I mentioned Shia Muslims in a previous post.

2. Muslim nations are already divided among sectarian lines. Even in places like Baghdad, which used to have integrated neighborhoods, this is no longer the case.

C. In places where Shia areas are being overrun by Sunni Islamists, every effort should be made to evacuate/rescue/relocate these people -- ideally to someplace where Shia Islam is dominant.

There is no Muslim ban or registry.

There is a temporary ban on people from a few failed states where it's nearly impossible to properly vet refugee applicants.

We have every right and reason to take a short timeout and to make sure that people who want to move here are willing to embrace our shared values.

If you will only marry a woman who wears a burqa, or are a burqa wearing woman, who is only applying to come here to marry a man who requires as much, we already know you aren't interested in assimilating.

 

Don't go down this road. It's a false equivalency. The threat of Islam-inspired terrorism and terrorism not inspired by Islam are not equal.
